I made this quilt top in July for my little boy. I finally was able to get some quilting time to myself, and finished it this afternoon.
Above: In the outer setting corners I quilted butterflies. Then, I quilted around the individual food pieces and did a tight meander in the background.
Below: In the center panel section of the quilt I stitched around each of the dots.
Below: Outlined the butterfly and did a medium-sized meander in the background.
Above: Outlined the giant caterpillar and then did a meander in the background.
Below: More of the outlined food with the tight meander in the outer border. In the middle color border I did a random zig-zag design. In the inner food border I outlined the food and then did a tight looping meander in the background.
Above: The backing fabric. The thread color I used for this quilt was called watermelon sorbet. It is a variegated thread, and matches the backing fabric perfectly.
