I got my new needle bar and had it installed today! This is so exciting, because it means we are back up and running, hopefully at above-normal speed for the next few weeks!
Wait time to get a quilt done is currently 2 weeks, but this might decrease depending on how fast some of the quilts get finished. I have several really little quilts that shouldn't take too long, so times may be quicker than previously quoted.

In an effort to make things a little easier, both for my clients and myself, I have changed the rush charges. They are no longer 1.5 times the quilting cost, but are now a FLAT RATE! You can find the new charges below, or by clicking on the "Quilting Services" page link at the top of the blog.
NEW RUSH CHARGES:
Crib/craft, throw or twin size quilts: Add $20.00
Full or queen size quilts: Add $40.00
King size or larger quilts: Add $60.00

Okay, sorry it took me forever to post this!
As of today the CHRISTMAS CUTOFF is December 16th. That is this Wednesday.
What does this mean? That as long as you get your quilt to me (or to Gracie Lou's, they'll call me when you drop it off to let me know it's there) then I can have your quilt quilted by December 24th (or sooner, depending on the volume of quilts I have at the time).
As of TODAY, if you would like me to also BIND your quilt, there will be an additional $15 charge (in addition to the normal cost of binding). All other services are charged at normal price.

I know that school is just starting (next week), but it's never too early to start thinking about custom made Christmas presents. T-shirt quilts make great Christmas presents, and you don't even have to do anything to get them! I will do all the work, you just provide the t-shirts. The quilts start at $14.00 per block. That includes everything needed to make the quilt: materials, labor, quilting, binding, batting.....EVERYTHING. Including FABRIC.
Quilts take about 4 weeks to complete, so it's best to order them well in advance. As December gets nearer, the completion time goes up to about 6 weeks due to sheer volume of orders.
T-shirt quilts also make great birthday presents, graduation gifts, or even as a picnic blanket.
You can even use Minkee or flannel as the backing for the t-shirt quilts.

A client sent this one to me to do for her. It is her very first quilt she has ever done. She did such an amazing job on it! It is so cute!
I quilted an all-over flowers, leaves, and feathers with loops design.
I didn't quilt on the layered squares, just around it and in the borders and sashing.
I used a Natural colored thread.
She also wanted me to bind it, so I am currently working on that for her. I changed the price list a little bit. Now it makes more sense, at least I think it does! :) I have to reformat it so it will fit in the side bar, but I'm hoping to get that done sometime today. Keep your eyes peeled for it.
I really wish I had been able to get a picture of the complete quilt. It was so cute! This quilt was commissioned by a client who wanted to give her daughter a snuggly blanket for her birthday. The quilt ended up being about 107 x 107. It was HUGE!
I alternated different sizes of daisies in the red and white border blocks.
In the green ladybug border blocks I did a daisy on a stem with leaves. (I quilted it so that no matter which way the quilt was facing, the daisy was standing up)
The back was the same red as the border blocks.
