Reunion

One of my friends sent me this top to quilt. I love it. The fabric she used is Reunion by Sweetwater.

I kind of had fun and went a little crazy....In the pieced blocks I quilted a swirl design. Then, in each of the white sashing strips, I treated them like stairs and stair-stepped loops down each one, so they travel. It looks really cool.
Then I swirled down the inner colored border, and did loops going opposite directions in the white borders around them.
And because by now you should all know how much I absolutely adore looking at the final quilting from the back...especially when Minkee is involved.... here is the back of the quilt! You can really get a feel for how the stair-stepping sashing design works here.
