Sunflower Quilt

A client brought me this quilt she made. She wanted something fun quilted on it. In the background behind the sunflower I quilted close together back and forth lines. In the outer border I quilted feathers, and in the inner border I quilted loops.

In each of the star blocks down the left side I quilted feathers in the background and the center of the star block.

I quilted inside each of the petals and a large swirl in the center of the sunflower.

And in the blocks down the right side I quilted back and forth lines in the background, stitched-in-the-ditch around the churn dash, and quilted a flower in the center of the blocks.

I quilted this last fall, so I'm not 100% sure of what color thread I used, but I believe it was So Fine! Ginger (Superior Threads). It turned out really fun and I had a great time quilting it!
