Let it Snow!

This is for my client, "M", who always does interesting things. This is my favorite quilt so far that she has brought me. It was so beautiful! Usually she lets me decide what I want to quilt on her quilts, but with this quilt she brought in a photo of a quilt she wanted me to mimic. We discussed options, and I ended up doing a combination of the photo she brought in and some ideas I had had.
I quilted swirls and wavy lines, representing snow flurries, across the entire quilt.

I used a 100% cotton thread, Sea Mist. It was a variegated white to teal to darker blue. It looked so beautiful on the top of the quilt.

The backing fabric was a solid blue, so I chose a matching solid color of thread for the bobbin.

I love how the quilting ends up looking on solid backs with matching thread.
